Winter League
A preview of the fixtures scheduled for Monday 30 October at Primrose Hill and Lindley Lib
It is a week of top-half teams versus bottom-half teams in Divisions 3 and 4 this Monday.
The top three teams in Division 3 are all pitched against bottom four teams in this week's fixture programme. All three will expect to win their fixtures which, if correct, will see little movement at the top end of the table.
The only other Division 3 fixture this week sees the two mid-table teams from Dalton and Rastrick meeting where Rastrick need a win to pass their opponents in the table this week but they also have a match in hand.
With 2nd in the Division 4 table, Lindley BC C, having a bye week the pressure on the leaders is eased a little. New Mill B currently have a two-points lead over Lindley Lib C and Netherton Con A and they meet Springwood B who are still looking for their first win of the season.
The top half versus bottom half theme is replicated in Division 4 where the Netherton team are in action and will be looking for a victory over Kirkheaton C&BC to push their claim for a promotion place even at this early stage of the season.
The bottom four teams are all on 2 points and they all avoid playing each other this Monday and points are likely to be at a premium for them all. However, with things being so tight picking up just a couple of points can improve a team's standing tremendously along with the boost it gives to that team's confidence levels.
Milnsbridge BC C sit exactly halfway between top and bottom in the table with 6-points the difference in both directions and need a win over Almondbury BC A to ensure that their next position isn't in the wrong half of the table.
