Top 4 play Bottom 4 in Division 3

Winter League

Preview of the Division 3 & 4 fixtures to be played on Monday 31 October

We have a day of the top four teams playing the bottom four teams in Monday's Division 3 programme. If all four matches go to form than we can expect the gap at the top to have grown with the top two looking to increase their domination of the table. No team in this division has a 100% win record and the leaders Brockholes 'A' will be looking to build on their good start.

They have already used 7 different bowlers in their 3 matches to date as they introduce winter bowling to the new squad members. That is one less than the 8 bowlers that have already represented the Almondbury 'A' team who are their opponents this Monday.

Thorpe Green 'B' are just one point behind the early leaders, have the only unbeaten record in the division (2 wins 1 draw) and they meet a Paddock I&C 'A' team still looking for their first win of the season. With already 3 bowlers in the top 4 bowlers in the Division 3 Averages they are well positioned to build on their good start to the season.

Into Division 4 where Marsh Lib have started brightly with two good wins and only dropping two points in the process which puts them clear at the top of the early table. They have a tough looking encounter against third-placed Kirkheaton C&BC who have also started life in the Winter League well with two straight wins.

The top four teams play each other this week as Lindley Lib 'B' take on Paddock I&C 'B' to complete the picture and any one of those top four teams could find themselves in top spot after this round of fixtures. At the other end of the table Milnsbridge 'B' and Netherton Con 'A' are both looking for their first wins of the season and they meet the two teams immediately above them so once again there could be a seismic shift in placings in the bottom half of the table. Lots to look forward to with hopefully another fine day weather-wise which should lead to another good day of sociable winter bowling.
