Preview of the fixtures in Divisions 3,4&5 of the 10-Man League for Tuesday 5 August

Linthwaite Hall are the form team in Division 3 having won 7 of their last 8 fixtures and moving up into the second promotion spot. They are equal on 69 points with Springwood and Brockholes A and all sit 12 points behind the leaders Almondbury Lib. The leaders are away at Holmfirth A this week whilst Springwood are the only one of the chasing trio to be playing away as they travel to play relegation-threatened Lockwood Con B. Linthwaite Hall and Brockholes A both host bottom half of the table opponents in Paddock I&C and Linldey Lib B.
Just below that trio and well within their range, sit the A teams from Hemplow and Holmfirth. Both have home matches this week and have the second promotion place very much in their sights. There is a good opportunity for bottom-of-the-pile Marsh Lib A to narrow the gap to safety when they welcome Thorpe Green to their home and a win would reduce the gap between the teams and raise Marsh hopes of starting a revival.

The Division 4 leaders, Skel Windmill, may be pushed all the way to preserve their season-long 100% win record when visiting 3rd in the table RUBC. However with a 21-points lead over the second-placed Kirkheaton C&BC A there is little doubt where the end-of-season honours are going. Second place would suit the Kirkheaton C&BC A team fine but they are without a fixture this week with their match at Huddersfield Recreation Club put back a week to the 12th when the home team will play two home games on the same day.
Meltham B versus David Brown Sports is the stand out match in the bottom half of the table with both teams flirting with relegation as are Primrose Hill Lib who have a difficult time awaiting them at Marsh United B this week.

Brockholes A moved to the top of the Division 5 table last week and they will do well to hold on to that one-point lead with a tricky-looking away fixture at Broad Oak B this Tuesday. Having said that the Brockholes team has won 10 of their last 11 matches including against Tuesday's opponents.
Former leaders, Kirkheaton Con B, have an easier-looking encounter lined up at home to Holmfirth B. Third-placed Hemplow B are another of the Division's form teams having won 7 of their last 8 fixtures and they have to go to Thorpe Green this week to play Greenhead Park.
