There were three 9-0 whitewash wins in the 10-Man League this week and all came in Division 3 and included the leaders Almondbury Lib. They clocked the whitewash scoreline against Paddock I&C and it was a good job they did as second-placed Brockholes A also had a 9-0 win and this was against one of their rivals in the promotion race, Hemplow A. That will be a great setback to Hemplow's own ambitions as they drop from 4th to 6th place but they are only 5 points behind the 2nd promotion place now occupied by Brockholes A.

Thorpe Green lost their match at fellow strugglers, Lockwood Con B, by 4-5 (aggregate 118-118) but that was sufficient to lift them one place further away from the relegation positions. Slaithwaite were on the wrong end of that 0-9 reversal to Holmfirth A and now are one place above the dropzone.

Skel Windmill lost their second Division 4 match of the season when going down 4-5 (118-119 aggregate) away to Thongsbridge B on Tuesday. That still leaves them with a 19-points cushion over 2nd placed Kirkheaton C&BC A who were also beaten this week losing to Marsh United B 2-7.

Primrose Hill Lib had a 7-2 home win over David Brown Sports which saw the teams swap positions and leaves DBSports in the second relegation spot. With Netherton Con B losing at home to Milnsbridge B by 3-6. That leaves the two teams promoted from Division 5 last season in danger of an immediate return to that level. The three teams immediately above them in the table will be concerned about the chances of steering away from the drop zone as they remain within a big win range of the bottom two.

Two points separate the top three teams in Division 5 with the top two both suffering away defeats as Kirkheaton Con B lost 4-5 at Broad Oak B and Brockholes B went down 2-7 to third-placed Hemplow B.

There was a massive 3-position leap for Kirkheaton C&BC B as a result of beating Holmfirth B 7-2 and they now sit 8th which is 5 points above bottom place. Three teams, Marsh Lib B, Almondbury BC B and Greenhead Park were all overtaken as they suffered defeats to mid-table opposition. New Mill B continued their climb up the table after a 7-2 away win at Greenhead Park made it 4 wins from their last 6 fixtures.
