The £1 per bowler levy invoices are coming

Bowling News

As prreviously announced the £1 per bowler levy is to be invoiced to all clubs nationwide to fund the financial implications of the new BCGBA Strategy. Each county has been given the responsibility of invoicing and collecting the levy from their member clubs on behalf of the BCGBA.

Yorkshire CCGBA previously announced that they intended invoicing all clubs by the end of April to allow one month for those invoices to be paid and the income passed on to the BCGBA. That self-imposed deadline has passed without being completed. Whilst a number of the districts under the Yorkshire umbrella have been invoiced I understand that the three largest districts - Leeds, Halifax and Kirklees - have still to receive their invoices.

Steve Cochrane the YCCGBA Chief Executive Officer is undertaking this task and he told me last weekend that he is still working on creating all the invoices and sending them out by email. The Yorkshire approach being complicated by the decision to invoice clubs based on 2025 membership numbers as recorded on the JustGo system whilst many counties are working on the 2024 membership numbers. Clubs should therefore prepare themselves for receipt of these invoices very shortly.
