Terry Brook wins first Eddie Haigh Memorial

Club News

Congratulations on Terry Brook winning the first running of the Eddie Haigh Memorial at Lockwood Con. On a green that played a lot better than it looked but was tricky with green and brown patches making getting a length very difficult.

Some close first round games with the highlight being a marvellous last bowl by Finlay Hickey to just sneak past fellow county colleague Chris Kelly.. Ex local lad Mark Wood came from 17-6 down to lead 20-19 and led a two foot wood out only for Andrew Limbert to put two inside for the game.

Into the quarters and after the heroics of his first game Finlay Hickey had no answer to Jack Dyson who produced a 15 break which would win him the highest break prize on the night.

Semi final time and going through each round reasonably unnoticed Jeremy Muff produced so timely woods to overcome hot favourite Jack Dyson and in the other half Terry Brook just squeezing past Ashley Tattersley.

The final never really got going as Terry Brook went into a 15-4 lead over a three quarter length mark which Jeremy had no answer to. A good night of bowling was just slightly spoiled by the final played in our only downpour of the day. Many thanks to the Haigh family for sponsoring & Lockwood Con for hosting. Once again, congratulations Terry Brook
