This year's quarter-finals of the Sub-Team KO threw up three finely contested matches with no more than 5 points between the teams and concocted a Marsh derby semi-final. The closest of the scorelines saw Marsh United B edge their match with Milnsbridge B by 141-139 to set up a semi-final against their Marsh neighbours and a repeat of the clash last year at the quarter-final stage when the Marsh Lib A team won. A 118-113 win for the Marsh Lib A side this year against Skel Windmill set up this meeting.
In the other half of the draw Kirkheaton Con B continued their pursuit of a second consecutive Final appearance after winning a closely contested quarter-final before progressing with a 128-125 win over Paddock I&C after making their +14 handicap start pay its way. The defending Champions were pushed all the way before the last result was egged out and they remain on course for a strong defence of their 2025 title success.
Netherton Con B maintained a Division 5 presence in the competition after beating Ravensknowle Park 129-116 with the +13 handicap start proving decisive after an 111-111 scratch scoreline. The Netherton Con B team head the Division 5 table and are looking for a League & Cup double but will have to pass the defending Sub-Team KO Champions to achieve that. The semi-finals will be played on Thursday 6 August on neutral greens still to be confirmed.
