Storm Ciaran is no problem to Winter bowlers

Winter League

More action photographs this time from the Division 5 fixture programme at Netherton Con on Thursday. The weather was foul and christened Storm Ciaran to allow the Met Office to issue warnings of imminent danger to all who left their homes. That didn't deter the Thursday regulars with good turnouts at both Thursday venues with over 70 counted at RUFC.

However the epicentre of the storm seems to have veered slightly off course with the promised Thursday deluge not materialising over West Yorkshire as threatened although it did become a little damp at times. Regardless of all that the Winter League bowlers treated Ciaran with the same disdain they had done his brother Storm Betat two weeks earlier. Not even the hint of a puddle on either of our two Thursday greens although some bowlers did resort to discarding their shorts for one week at least.
