Final day of the season for Divisions 3,4&5 of the 10-Man League

New Mill A are the Division 3 Champions and have an immediate return to Division 2 for the 2027 season. They will be joined by Linthwaite Hall if they collect a minimum of 3 points from their final fixture at Kirkheaton C&BC A on Tuesday. Brockholes A are still in the reckoning for the second promotion place but will need a 9-0 home win over Golcar Lib B if they are to stand a chance of nicking things on the last day. Failing to do that will see the Brockholes A probably finishing third for a second consecutive season.

It is two from four at the foot of the table with the bottom two in a confrontation that may suit the two teams above them best of all. That key fixture sees Skel Windmill in danger of an immediate return to Division 4 after their last day match at home to Paddock I&C. Thorpe Green only need one point from their final match at home to Springwood to secure their Division 3 future regardless of what any other teams do. But it is a different story for Holmfirth A. They are at home to Lindley Lib B where a 7-2 home win would guarantee their future at the same level, but anything less would give Paddock a real chance of overhauling them.

The top two teams in Division 4 are level on the 121 points mark and both have away fixtures this week. Marsh Lib A and Kirkheaton Con B are the two teams involved with Marsh Lib having the hardest looking encounter lined up as they travel to play third-placed Thongsbridge B who could still muscle in on the promotion positions. A 7-2 home win for them would move the emphasis on to the Aggregate For scores which currently favour Marsh Lib by 2682 to 2648. That presents a difference of 34 which is almost worth another point to Marsh Lib. The Kirkheaton B team are looking for a second successive promotion when they go to play Marsh United B who they have already beaten twice this year, once in the League and once in the Sub-Team KO Final.

Marsh United B will still be very aware of the lingering, but unlikely, threat of relegation should Lockwood Con B have a massive home win over the Rugby Club. That current 7-points gap would disappear and leave the Marsh United team and David Brown Sports and Ravensknowle Park to settle matters between themselves.

Netherton Con B and Broad Oak B are already assured of promotion from Division 5 and one of them will add the Champions title to their achievements after this final round of matches. Either way this amounts to a huge turnaround for the Netherton team after their relegation out of Division 4 last year. Both the candidates have home fixtures lined up to end their seasons and these favour the Netherton team who play lowly Greenhead Park whilst the Broad Oak B side play third-in-the-table Lindley Lib B.

The Greenhead Park side could end up collecting the wooden spoon as they are one of the three likely contenders for that 'honour'. With Almondbury BC B and Dalton the other two teams involved and facing each other on Tuesday. One point separates the three teams with nothing other than honour at stake.
