Preview of the Division 3 matches scheduled for Wednesday 22 October at Springwood

Will Almondbury BC defy the odds of a second title win? Will Slaithwaite make it three title wins on the bounce? Will Thorpe Green C defy being my tip for relegation? Will Springwood A get relegated and end a 6-year run of playing on their own green? So many questions for Division 3 teams and none of them will be answered this week.

However one unasked question can be answered this Wednesday - how long will it take Denby Dale to pull back their 10-points penalty? Based on a repeat of last year's results of a 6-2 league double, the Denby Dale side could overtake that handicap this Wednesday and move into a plus rating in their points total. Thorpe Green C stand in their way and they started their season in optimistic manner with a 4-4 draw with Lindley Lib B which they will aim to build on this week.

Three more teams are looking towards claiming their first wins of the season with Lindley BC B, Lockwood Con A and Springwood A all hoping to recover from opening day defeats. Good luck to all the teams as the season revs up and teams begin to find their level within the table.
