A lot could happen this week in the Division 3 promotion and relegation matters but then again nothing could be finalised. It is possible that Marsh Lib A and Lockwood Con B could both be relegated should they lose Tuesday's fixtures. With Marsh Lib A at home to second-in-the-table Brockholes A and Lockwood Con B away to Hemplow A then both the two relegation-threatened teams are in danger of confirming their expected destiny. But either winning could change all that putiing pressure on Paddock I&C to take something away from their home match with promotion-chasing Springwood.

Even a 9-0 away win for the leaders Almondbury Lib at Thorpe Green will not guarantee them promotion yet but it could depending on other results and it would be a huge step forward for them as well. All teams can do at this stage is win the match in front of them and see what transpires.

Things are a lot clearer in Division 4 as Skel Windmill are already sure of promotion and will add the title to their season by winning this week's fixture away to their only rivals for that title Kirkheaton C&BC A. Milnsbridge will be egging the Skel boys on to preserve their own promotion hopes but they need a big win at home to strugglers Primrose Hill Lib to make their contribution to their bid to go up. Marsh United B are the outsiders of the three teams that could claim the second promotion place but can only continue their bid by beating winning away at Meltham B on Tuesday.

David Brown Sports and Netherton Con B sit in the two relegation places at present and both desperately need wins this week to retain hopes of avoiding the drop. If Netherton Con B don't win their away match at Huddersfield Recreation Club they are almost certain of disappearing through the relegation trapdoor to return from where they came from last season. David Brown Sports could make it a double-quick return to a lower level but that is unlikely to be confirmed this week.

Hemplow B have won 6 of their last 7 Division 5 matches and have to keep winning if they want to claim a promotion place. A win at lowly Holmfirth B will keep that momentum going ahead of a crunch match at home to the table-toppers Kirkheaton Con B next week. This week the leader's focus will be on their home fixture with 4th-placed Dalton who will be aiming to complete the double over their rivals and maintain their own interest in securing a promotion place.

Lindley BC B cannot be discounted from any discussion on promotion places but a first defeat in seven last week at home to Brockholes B damaged their chances but they remain a threat but only if they beat New Mill A on their own green this week.
