Rest in Peace
Milnsbridge BC member David Horsfall lost his fight against COVID-19 passing away this week after a lengthy stay in hospital. David was a member of the club's Veterans League 10-man and 6-man teams having played for all three Veterans League sides during the 2021 season.
Milnsbridge BC President Jim Baxter reflects on his passing:
David was probably not well known in local bowling circles as he was a fairly recent convert to bowling. I knew him through Crosland Heath golf club where we were both members. As far as I know David was encouraged to take up bowling by his brother-in-law Ian Parr who is one of our regular bowlers. Ian and David were very close and often practiced together.
David was a keen Huddersfield Town fan and a season ticket holder for as long as I had known him. Before she retired recently his wife Hillary worked in the ticket office. David will be remembered by Milnsbridge members as a friendly easy-going person who got along with everyone. We will all miss him.
