The Huddersfield team in the Yorkshire Veterans INter-District League began their 2025 campaign with a tight win over their Leeds counterparts on Friday by a 30-26 scoreline.

This is an encouraging start against the Leeds team that finished last year two places above the Huddersfield team in 3rd position in the table. The home team had 6 winners and collected 17 points through the complex points scoring system. The away side shared the games score 4-4 and added another 13 points to the total.
The West Riding side made a positive start to the defence of their 2024 title win when beating Castleford 40-16 to go top of the Week 1 Table.
Next up for the Huddersfield team is a match against the team immediately above them in the new table, Halifax, and that takes place on Friday 16 May with the greens and teams to be announced the week before the matches. All the individual scores from the two Huddersfield teams are below.
