Preview of the Divisions 1&2 10-Man League fixtures scheduled for Tuesday 29 July

The top three teams in Division 1 all have away fixtures this week with Cowcliffe having the most difficult looking match when travelling to play 4th placed Clayton West. Lowerhouses and Longwood meet Marsh United A (1 win in 5) and Meltham A (1 win in 7) respectively and it would be a massive surprise if both didn't win those fixtures.

The bottom two teams are now seriously adrift of the rest of the teams with Waterloo now 16 points of a safe position and have to go to Rastrick this Tuesday, a green that only one team, Longwood, have won at this season.

There is no sign of the top two Division 2 teams slowing up at all with the local bragging rites up for grabs for the Elland team that eventually finishes up as Champions. Both have home matches this week which both will expect, with some justification, to win comprehensively. If Broad Oak had started the season playing as they are now then things might have been very different. Having won their last 5 fixtures and a home match against Thongsbridge A scheduled for this week that run is likely to be extended.
