It is another Finals Day this Thursday with the Pairs turn to shine at Almondbury Lib. Eight pairs from 7 different clubs with the all-Kirkheaton Con quarter-final catching the eye. The Garry Senior & Andy Lumb pair both play in the A team in Division 1. Their opponents are Ian Johnsey & Leon Wilczynski who both play in the club's B team in Division 4 of the Veterans League. With a handy handicap lead of 8 for the underdogs, it should lead to an interesting encounter.

Not forgetting of course that the 2025 winners of this title are still in contention to retain their title as the Lowerhouses pair of Ashley Daykin & Andy Mitchell give a 4-point start to the Netherton pair of Paul Rangeley and Graham Brook. No Netherton Pair have ever won this title over the 37 years that it has been contested and they have the stiffest test against the holders to start the day off. The 2024 winners of this title remain in contention as the Waterloo pairing of Alan Stephenson and Ian Lunn are in the other half of the draw and have to play the Lindley Lib pair of Mick Ward and Bob Booth.
