Over-70's Pairs KO new format

Veterans League

The Veterans League competition for pairs players aged 70 or over has a closing date of Wednesday 23 July. The response to date is disappointing with just 11 bowlers submitting entries. Last season there were 20 pairs entered (40 bowlers). The format has been changed this season whereas the competition has always stipulated that bowlers must enter as a pair and come from the same club, this year that does not apply. The difference this year is that entrants do not enter as a pair but individually. There will then be a draw of all the entrants to pair them up with a random partner for the duration of the competition.

The eleven entrants to date are Paul Rangeley (Netherton Con), Maurice Grange (Marsh Lib), Keith Hilton (Brockholes)

Kevin McCluskey (Huddersfield Rec), Dennis Lomax (New Mill), Barry Tinker (Lindley BC) Colin McCluskey (Huddersfield Rec), Graham Brook (Netherton Con), Roy Sutton (Milnsbridge)

Bob Haigh (Huddersfield Rec), Paul Rushworth (Broad Oak)
