Lowerhouses will not be too upset about losing 3-6 away to Kirkheaton Con A on Tuesday as they now just need a win at home in their final match of the season against Golcar Lib A to retain the Division 1 title for a second year. Longwood did all they could in Tuesday's away match at Clayton West winning 6-3. This was a ninth win in their last ten fixtures which compares favourably against Lowerhouses' recent record of two defeats in their last three matches. However they have enough fuel in the tank to make a last day home win something of a formality when you look at their home record of Played 10 Won 10.

At the wrong end of the table Meltham A did all they could to delay any relegation outcome by beating their nearest rival, Marsh United A, 6-3 on Tuesday. That leaves the gap between the two teams at 5 points. Meltham's final fixture is away at Lindley Lib A next Tuesday and the Lindley side need one point to secure their future. Marsh United A need to win their final match to ensure that they operate at the top level again next season and send Meltham down to Division 2.

A 6-3 home win for Elland C&BC over 3rd-placed Shepley ensured that they secured the second promotion place out of Division 2. The two Elland teams have dominated the division all season so no surprises there with the Elland WMC team signing off their home programme by beating Netherton Con A by 8-1. That was a huge setback to Netherton's hopes of avoiding a second successive relegation and the drop down into Division 3.

New Mill A beat Lindley BC A 6-3 courtesy of a 120-119 aggregate scoreline. That means that they still need seven points from their final match of the season which is away at Denby Dale to be sure of retaining their Division 2 status. That would also require Netherton Con to clock up a 9-0 home win over Almondbury BC A which would be a surprise as they haven't achieved that level all season.

Golcar Lib only avoided relegation last season by a better Aggregate For total than Linthwaite Hall but a 3-6 reverse at Broad Oak A on Tuesday means that they are relegated this year with Netherton Con A almost certainly joining them next week.
