Neil & Wayne retain CV Pairs title

Congratulations to Neil Slattery and Wayne Mosley on successfully retaining the Colne Valley Pairs title! They overcame two outstanding young talents, Dennis and Harry, in a thrilling final.

It was a real pleasure to see Harry, Dennis, and Aiden not only playing excellent bowls but also conducting themselves with great sportsmanship, if we can find a few more like them, the future of bowls in the town has a chance.

A massive thank you to Jonathan Sykes and Slaithwaite CBC for their generous sponsorship of the event. A special mention must go to Trevor Eckersley, Slaithwaite’s greenkeeper — the surface was immaculate and the green ran beautifully. Finally thanks to all the bowlers and spectators.
