Well Bowled Fantasy League
For a second consecutive week the two Meltham teammates at the top of the Fantasy League table are locked together on the same points total. They are only separated by the fact that Alan Starkey has played once less match than his club rival Jeff Smith.
Any suspicion that they have the same 8 team selections can be quashed here and now as they have the same team selections in only 3 of the 8 divisions.
Two new challengers emerge from the top ten as Laurence Heap (New Mill) and David Morton (Greenhead Park) move into contention this week as they go 3rd and 4th but the gap to the top two is over 20 points at present but any challenge has to start somewhere.
Three months of fixtures completed and exactly three more months to go before we will know the 2023 Fantasy League winner. The two Meltham teammates lead the way but it is a big ask to expect them to ward off all challengers for another 3 months. The Transfer Market activity can be key in deciding where the title is going to go this year. Choose wisely.
The Transfer Market remains open until midday Monday when you can swap out one of your underperforming selections and replace them with an alternative choice from the same division.
In the next few days I will be announcing our Manager of the Month for June and the £10 cash prize that goes with it. Then there is the £10 cash prize for the All-77 Draw winner where all the contestants names (excluding the two previous All-77 Draw winners) go into the hat and then the draw will be made by named bowlers.
The latest complete update is alongside and all the red entries represent Lucky Dip entries.
