The answer to Name the Green No.5 is Lindley Bowling Club and I am grateful to Philip Walker, a club member and regular HuddWeb contributor, for the photograph. This shows the car park entrance to the green and highlights the work done in tidying up the area around the entrance. This one was a really difficult challenge but I did receive five correct answers but only one of those was from a non-member of the club involved. So well done to John Hodgson for naming Lindley BC as the correct answer to Name the Green No.5. The other four correct answers all came from Lindley BC members and they were Bill Blackburn, Glynis Philbin, Barry Tinker and Ken Ellis.
Lots of incorrect guesses but there is no shame in that as this was a very difficult challenge. The list of wrong guesses includes Farnley Tyas as far and away the most popular wrong guess with 5 punters opting for that green and you can see why. Also bids for Grange Moor, Almondbury BC, Marsh United, Paddock I&C, Dalton, Kirkheaton C&BC and Lockwood Con.
