After leading the table for the past six weeks Jeff Smith succumbs to the challenge of his Meltham teammate, Alan Starkey, who goes top virtue of having played a game less than the long time leader. Alan's surge up the table also heralds the dominance of the Lucky Dip selections (all marked in red) who now occupy 5 of the top 7 slots in the table and with only 20 points between those 7 and games in hand for several of them, then the race for the 2023 title is far from over as we approach the half-way point of the season.
One more week before the July Transfer Market opens for business when every entrant has the opportunity to replace one of their eight selections with a different team from the same division.
The month end also signals the announcement of our Manager of the Month who receives a £10 cash prize for collecting more points than any other entrant during the month of June. It also means that it is time for our dip into the bag to pick out another random £10 winner from our All-77 Draw.
