A preview of the Division 3 matches to be played at Thorpe Green on Monday from 12noon
Following last week's pivotal win over Thorpe Green 'C', the Lindley BC 'B' side need a single point from their final match this Monday to claim the Division 3 title. Their opponents are the Lowerhouses 'B' team who they beat 8-0 earlier in the season so unless their nerves get the better of them it seems a straightforward conclusion to a successful season.
Thorpe Green 'C' are the only team that can overtake the leaders and they will be keen to put last week's setback defeat behind them and return to winning ways when they take on the Huddersfield Recreation Club 'B' team this week.
Dalton and Rastrick 'B' will conclude their season when facing each other with the winner likely to claim third place in the table. Just two points separate them at present and the December 4-4 draw shows how closely matched they remain.
Nothing other than pride to play for in the remaining Division 3 fixture with Brockholes and Milnsbridge 'B' completing their seasons with no pressure on a result so time to enjoy themselves, just as they have done all season.
It all happens at Thorpe Green on Monday from 12noon and the catering team have promised to push the boat out in the spread made available so it is party time as teams wave goodbye to concentrate on summer bowling for the summer months.
