A review of the Divisions 5 & 6 matches played on Thursday 21 December.
Slaithwaite won the top of Division 5 clash with their nearest rivals, Springwood C, by 6-2 to extend their lead to 4 points. In a double whammy the Springwood side also lost their second place as Brockholes B overtook them after a 6-2 win over Mirfield A sent them into the second promotion place. Outlane continued their drop down the table after a 2-6 defeat to Almondbury BC B who collected their 3rd win in their last 4 matches which has seen them move well out of the relegation battle.
Big change in fortunes for Netherton Con B as they won for the first time this season seeing off Huddersfield Recreation Club B by 6-2 but remain 17 points from safety.
The leaders also won the top two clash in Division 6 as Linthwaite Hall saw off Lockwood Con B by 6-2 to extend their lead to 16 points and that enabled New Mill C to move back into the promotion places after beating Mirfield B 6-2.
The RUBC team missed an opportunity to move up the table after being held to a 4-4 draw by Broad Oak who included a 21-0 pairs win in their result. Cowcliffe B won the mid-table tussle with Golcar C&BC by 6-2 to preserve their points advantage over their rivals
