Last scratch team eliminated from Bistro

Following last Thursday's Round of the Last 16 in the Bistro we now have our last 8 teams from which this year's Champion will emerge. The closest outcome from Thursday's results favoured Clayton West easing past fellow Division 1 side Meltham A. A 90-89 aggregate scoreline set up another all-Division 1 tie with Clayton West going on to play Lindley Lib A in the quarter-finals.

There was only two points between two Division 5 teams as Lindley BC B went down 114-116 to bottom-of-the-table New Mill B who continue to punch above their weight in this competition. Two of the bottom three teams in Division 2 faced each other which was a welcome distraction from relegation worries for Denby Dale and Netherton Con A. They didn't need the handicap difference to eliminate their opponents this time.

Elland WMC are having a good season in the League sitting second in Division 2 and having already disposed of two Division 1 sides to reach this stage of the competition. The latest being Cowcliffe but they did need their handicap start of 16 points to squeeze past their opponents who sit in 3rd position in Division 1 and were the last scratch teams left in the competition.

Division 3 leaders, Almondbury Lib, took their League form to beat the bottom of Division 3 Marsh Lib A 108-95 and Division 1 high-flyers Golcar Lib A beat Division 3 mid-table team Lindley Lib B. The unbeaten Division 4 leaders, Skel Windmill, were gifted a bye as Marsh Utd B withdrew and they will play Elland WMC in the quarter-finals. The full draw for the quarter-finals is below along with all of the Last 16 results. The quarter-final neutral greens have still to be added at this stage.
