I am grateful to Mike Thornton for passing this photograph on after noticing it appearing on the Huddersfield Then & Now Facebook pages. So who knows anything about a bowling club in Kirkburton? Where was it, when and what happened to it?
The Railway Junction Inn built in 1870, became the Three Owls in 1938 and now The Foxglove in Dean Bottom just off Penistone Road, but when the green vanished I have no idea
