Julie Fuller Last 32 meet on Monday

Some really interesting clashes in the Round of the Last 32 in the Julie Fuller Trophy for teams in the 6-Man League. Two same-club clashes, an all-scratch match and another all Division 1 tie.

The six-man teams play in three pairs which is always a bit of a leveller with many 6-man team bowlers having had very little experience of playing in pairs. Throw in a new handicapping system this season and we have a competition ripe for surprise results.

There are two one-club clashes with the Greenhead Park A v Greenhead Park B tie being played on their new home green at Thorpe Green. The other same club meeting being played on a neutral greens with the all Marsh Lib clash taking place at Milnsbridge.

There are two all-Division 1 clashes with Netherton Con A v Slaithwaite being played at Lindley Lib and two Scratch handicap teams, Skel Windmill A and Marsh United A lining up at Lockwood Con.

Things don't get any easier for Holmfirth A. After knocking out the 2024 trophy winners, New Mill A, they now have to face the current leaders of the Division 1 title race, Clayton West. It is an interesting clash with the top teams in the top two divisions facing each other for a place in the last 16 with only a 3-points handicap difference between them.
