Inter-District team play Yorkshire League leaders

Veterans League

The ultimate test in the Yorkshire Veterans Inter-District League this year is to play the West Riding side who are romping away at the top of the table. Their unbeaten record includes wins over the teams in 2nd and 3rd places in the League, Bradford and Aire & Wharfe, as well as the 2025 Champions, Leeds. This Friday, that challenge is in front of the Huddersfield team.

The Home team under the captaincy of Graham Sigsworth have opted to play their match at Hemplow and the team Is Martin Skuse, Rob Dickinson, Adrian Cooper, Mick Chapman, Ray Whitwam, Andy Carter, Rob Spencer and Graham Sigsworth. Pete Fuller is the reserve. Not available this week are Stephen Haigh and Andy Wike. The match starts at 1.00 pm.

The Away team play at Cleckheaton Sports and the match will start at the earlier time of 11.00am. Malcolm Gilbert's squad is as follows: Steven Haigh (making his debut), Steve Mallinson, Andy Lumb, Dave Pollard, Edwin Haigh, Stuart Greaves, Garry Senior and Ian Ross. Malcolm Gilbert is the reserve.
