The Huddersfield team will be disappointed to have lost their latest Yorkshire Veterans Inter-District League match on Friday to Skipton by 25-31. That defeat is tempered somewhat by the fact that the 25 points earned were sufficient to push them to the top of the updated table. That is mainly due to the previous leaders, Leeds, having a bye this week so end up 19 points behind the new leaders but with a match in hand. Second-placed Halifax also lost their Friday fixture going down 31-25 to the West Riding. Wakefield won for the first time this season when beating Castelford 20-27. Bradford also claimed a first win of the season when beating Aire & Wharfe by 30-26.
The full set of Friday results, the individual match scores for the two Huddersfield matches as well as the updated table and the next round of fixtures are all included below.
