Inter-District team go 2nd after big win

The Huddersfield Veterans Inter-District team recorded a welcome 43-13 win over Wakefield in the latest round of fixtures in the Yorkshire Inter-District League. Winning 7 of the 8 games in the Home version and 6 out of 8 in the Away leg. The Home team winning a second successive match 23-5` whilst the Away side, with the returning captain Malcolm Gilbert, clocked up a first away win with a 20-13 victory.

That sees the team lifted one place to 2nd in the updated table below. A rare 28-28 draw in the Leeds/Bradford match saw the Huddersfield team split the previous top two and put themselves well into the title chase. Next up is tricky tie against Skipton on the 27th of this month.
