Inter-District team gets crucial win

The Huddersfield Veterans Inter-District team won their key match yesterday when beating nearest rivals Aire & Wharfe by 34-22 to move up into 3rd place in the table. All the results, full match scores, updated table and next fixtures are below. In summary - the win for the Huddersfield team keeps them very much in the title picture with a second consecutive 23-5 home win key in that outcome. The one standout individual result being the 21-1 sweep-winning score by Graham Sigsworth in the home leg.

Halifax are clearly a strong contender for the 2025 title with an unbeaten 3 game record to date including the 29-27 win over the Huddersfield team. They beat Castleford this week and that was the third consecutive 16-40 defeat for the Castleford team.

West Riding have played a match less than the teams in the top half of the table and as the 2024 title holders command respect and remain within range of the leaders. Bradford have started slowly with two defeats but are expected to improve as the season progresses.
