Veterans League
The Leeds team has won the 2023 Yorkshire Veterans Inter-District competition despite a great last day effort by our representative team who claimed the runners-up place. Leeds matched the Huddersfield 36-20 winning scoreline to maintain the difference in points.
Leeds were represented in the competition for the first time since pre-Covid and they arrived on the scene with a totally new outlook after many years of making up the numbers. So well done to them for depriving our team of a second successive title-winning season.
As the season has now ended we include all the individual team members averages for interest as well along with all the results, table and last-day individual game scores. Congratulations to Golcar Lib bowler Ray Whitwam for topping the individual bowler averages across all the teams winning all 7 of his matches at an average of +10.86.
