Good day for Greenhead Park in JFT

The Preliminary Round of the 2026 Julie Fuller Trophy competition produced a couple of good results for Greenhead Park with both of their teams progressing through to the next round. The Division 3 A team had an impressive 49-47 win over Waterloo who finished as the runners-up in last season's Division 1 final table. The B team didn't have such exulted opposition but saw off Division 3 Broad Oak B who were making their first start in this competition after joining the League this season.

Things don't get any easier for the two Greenhead Park teams as they both now have to face teams that finished in the top five teams in Division 1 last season, Marsh United A and Shepley A.

There was also a surprise win for Division 3 team Crosland Moor who beat Division 1 side Golcar C&BC 58-51 but otherwise the ties went the way of the senior team in the handicap rankings.
