The Division 5 leaders, Mirfield Old Bank, were held to a 4-4 draw by Paddock I&C on Wednesday and that, coupled with an 8-0 win for Mirfield C over bottom-of-the-table Dalton, brought them back within catching range. Just two points between each other and they go head-to-head next Wednesday. Another great climax to a division's season coming up.

A good win for Mirfield C but not a good day for Dalton who now sit behind Kirkheaton C&BC A and Thorpe Green B who shared the points when they met on Wednesday. The last day match between Dalton and Kirkheaton C&BC A could increasingly look like being a tense affair with everything at stake. Could Dalton be heading for a second successive relegation?
