Review of the Division 3 & 4 results from Monday's matches

Some important changes to the Division 3 fixture programme affecting matches scheduled for 13 November and 11 December will be online tomorrow

The top four teams in Division 3 all won their matches this week against teams from the lower half of the table. There were 8-0 wins for the leaders Marsh United and Hanging Heaton with Milnsbridge B dropping 2 points but retaining second place. Dalton remain in the frame as well after a 6-2 win over Rastrick.

Marsh United made it five wins on the bounce, this one being one of four by the maximum 8-0 scoreline, when seeing off Thorpe Green B. Hanging Heaton won with a 63-17 aggregate which was only one point off their own all-divisions record this season of 63-16. The Milnsbridge team stay very much in the promotion mix after a 6-2 win over Primrose Hill Lib. A 48-45 aggregate advantage was sufficient to get Dalton over the line and extend their lead over Rastrick, their nearest challengers.

In Division 4 New Mill B collected a 2nd consecutive 8-0 win when beating Springwood B to extend their lead over Thorpe Green C to 4 points. Thorpe Green inflicted a third defeat on Lowerhouses B to stay clear of third-placed Milnsbridge C who beat Almondbury BC B by 6-2. Kirkheaton C&BC got their first win of the season at the second time of asking when beating the previously unbeaten Netherton Con A side by 6-2. Lindley Lib C were without a game this week but stay very much in contention for a promotion place being only 6 points adrift with a match in hand of second spot.
