It is a bit of a scramble at the foot of the Division 1 table as the bottom two teams go up against each other but regardless of the outcome of that match both teams will be in exactly the same order come Tuesday evening. That is not quite correct as a 9-0 win for Waterloo over their visitors from Meltham A would swap their positions but the likelihood of that is about the same as the likelihood of me getting the winning lottery numbers one day soon.

Marsh United A will be hoping for a close scoreline from that fixture for them to retain a good lead over the teams in the relegation places for now. Although an away trip to play Longwood is hardly likely to improve their hopes of moving out of the drop zone anytime soon.

At the top of the table Lowerhouses and Longwood have home matches against Lockwood Con A and Marsh United A respectively and any other outcome than the anticipated home wins would be a big surprise. More interest will be in the total points gained with Lowerhouses continuing to pinch points over their title rivals every week which has stretched their lead to 6 points now.

The two Elland teams continue their own contest for the Division 2 title as neither shows any sign of slipping up in the promotion race with a 13 points gap to the chasing pack. Both the top teams have away fixtures this Tuesday with the the leaders, Elland WMC, playing at Lindley BC A and their rivals at lowly New Mill A who are desperate for points to avoid dropping out of the Division.

Golcar Lib B sit at the foot of the table despite showing their potential when defeating Elland C&BC in mid-June but have lost all 6 of their fixtures since then. Denby Dale occupy the second relegation place but only on a lower Aggregate For total than New Mill A. This week they entertain Broad Oak A who intend remaining a threat to the top two should they ever relax their grip on the promotion places. Netherton Con A are on the edge of the relegation fight and any hopes of moving up will have to wait another week as they travel to play Shepley this week.
