Well Bowled Fantasy League
One more week in the summer season to go and the top of the Fantasy League is in a flumox! Long-time league leader Mike Thornton reclaimed the lead he lost the week before, only to lose it again this week. Still with me? Mike drops to third place after an underperforming week for his 8 teams. All the top four punters selections played 10 matches over the past week but it is John Allen who sits at the top with one week to go before the end-of-season winner claims his £100 prize.
One important difference that introducing monthly transfer markets into the Fantasy League has done is making it possible for entrants to play a different number of matches over the course of the season. Whereas before pre-transfer markets, everyone played the same number of matches which no longer applies as transferring teams in and out that have played a different number of matches will affect the games played total.
We will be back next week with the final instalment and climax of this season-long competition.
