Expanded competition needs an extra day

The additional interest in this year's Lower Divisions Trophy with 59 entries received means that an extra date is required to fit the competition into the Veterans' League season.

Last Friday was the original date scheduled for the competition's Finals Day but that was quickly gobbled up by the need to accommodate the extra entries with two more rounds which took place last week. There are no Finals Day arrangements made yet but there are a couple of Friday vacancies in the programme that could be used.

The competition looks very open with no previous winners of the title still in contention. The Lower Divisions Trophy is for bowlers that play in the 6-Man League or in Divisions 3, 4 or 5 of the 10-Man League.
