Tomorrow's Division 1 fixture programme could see the end of Waterloo's fight to stay in the top division with an away match at second-in-the-table Longwood. Defeat could signal the end of that resistance whilst Lockwood Con A could secure their continuing tenure by beating Meltham A to bring pressure on the Meltham side and the threat of an immediate return to Division 2. Marsh United A will be looking for a home win against Clayton West to keep them out of the reach of the Meltham team and on last week's evidence are very capable of delivering that.

Lowerhouses need to match the Longwood result to retain their 6-points lead at the top of the table and have a tricky home match against Cowcliffe, although they did win the return match at Cowcliffe earlier in the season.

A couple of key fixtures in Division 2 this Tuesday which could impact on both ends of the table. The top two teams go head-to-head when Elland WMC play their neighbours from Elland C&BC when a 7-2 away win would secure the title, along with the promotion already in the bag for the WMC side. That would make it a League & Cup Double to add the Division 2 title to their alreay won Bistro KO title.

That outcome would suit the Shepley team as well and could resurrect their promotion hopes. Sat 16-points off the 2nd promotion place and with an away match at Elland C&BC next week things could swing in a surprising direction. That would be aided by a big home win over New Mill A this week.

The New Mill team sit in 10th position and are just 3-points above the 2nd relegation place so will be scrapping for their Division 2 lives. The two teams below them both have home matches this week with Golcar Lib B most in jeopardy of dropping through the relegation trapdoor. They only avoided the drop last year by a better Aggregate For total and things look increasingly black for them being 14-points from safety. They play Almondbury BC A who beat them 7-2 earlier in the season but this week they have the home advantage.

They could be joined by Netherton Con A who would be making a second successive relegation after dropping out of Division 1 last year. They will need to call on all that experience if they are to have any real hope of extending their time in Division 2 for a second season.
