Outlane, the Division 5 leaders, were beaten 2-6 by the in-form Jackson Bridge side but hang on to top spot courtesy of a better Aggregate For total than Slaithwaite. With only one win in their last four matches the leaders are fortunate to still be in the chase but are under real pressure now as only 2 points separate the top three teams and then Jackson Bridge, after four straight wins, have moved into 4th place.
Slaithwaite and Brockholes B are the immediate threat to Outlane's position, Slaithwaite inflicted a first defeat since the opening day of the season on Mirfield A in an 8-0 whitewash win whilst Brockholes B were held to a 4-4 draw by the Huddersfield Recreation Club.
Netherton Con B are really struggling on their own green holding down the bottom position and 18-points off safety after a 6th straight defeat when going down 0-8 to Almondbury BC B who move out of the relegation places as a result.
There was a first Division 6 defeat of the season for Linthwaite Hall as they went down 2-6 to the host team from Huddersfield RUFC. The RUFC have become a real bogey team for the leaders as they drew 4-4 on the opening day and are the only team they haven't beaten this season. Despite all that Linthwaite Hall remain 8 points clear at the top of the table.
New Mill C confirmed their third-place status after a 6-2 win over Cowcliffe B and moved clear of Lockwood Con B who failed to win for the first time after four straight wins as they were held to a 4-4 draw by Golcar C&BC. The bottom two teams went head-to-head and this saw Mirfield B claim their first win of the season by 6-2 over Kirkheaton Con B who remain above the bottom place by a 9-point aggregate advantage (356-347).
