Winter League

It could be a key week in the early season programme as the Division 3 top trio have very different matches to prepare for this coming Monday. Top of the table Brockholes 'A' meet bottom-of-the-table Springwood 'B' and the leaders will be looking for a big win to enhance their position even further.

Then the 2nd and 3rd placed teams go up against each other as Thorpe Green 'B' and Huddersfield Recreation Club 'A' face up to the fact that the loser could be slipping down the table as the leaders move further out of range. Rastrick 'B' will look to build on their good win over Dalton last week when they take on Almondbury BC 'A' this Monday.

Completing the Division 3 programme for this week sees Dalton and Paddock I&C meeting with just one point between them being a sufficient incentive to turn on the sparkle required to move into the top half of the table.

In Division 4 the top four teams play the bottom four teams and if things go according to form there shouldn't be any changes in the table at all this week. However that is not usually how things work out and some surprises are almost bound to happen.

Lindley Lib 'B' are the leaders and they take on 2nd to bottom the 'B' team from the Recreation Club when they need to pick up a big win to consolidate their position. The two closest placed teams meeting this week are Lowerhouses 'B' (4th) and Milnsbridge 'B' (5th) and both come on the back of good 8-0 wins last week but the team rotation habit of both sides means that no-one is quite sure which teams will be on the green in any week, such is winter bowling.
