Winter League
Following on from the completion of the 7-week mini-season for Division 10 teams I have now, over the weekend, completed the fixture programme changes for the rest of the season. These matches will now be held at Netherton Con still on a Monday starting on Monday 5 January.
This work also includes the replacement of three teams that are unable to extend their season from 7 to 14-weeks. These three teams inherit the playing records of the teams they are replacing, as indicated below.
Hemplow B withdrawn and replaced by Brockholes E
Lindley Lib D withdrawn and replaced by Skel Windmill B.
Lindley Lib E withdrawn and replaced by Holmfirth B.
This work has now been completed on Bowlsnet including the team name changes, the merging of playing records, Division 10 name change to Division 10 (Netherton Con), the freezing of the individual playing records of bowlers from the withdrawing three teams, the additional registration of bowlers for the three new teams and more.
Still to be completed by the three new teams are the details of the Emergency Contacts to be used for informing teams of any matchday postponements. This should be completed before the first round of fixtures on Monday 5 January.
Still to be decided by the Management Committee is a decision on the end-of-season promotion and relegation for Division 10 teams, whether trophies are to be awarded for the Division Champions and Top Bowlers. Bearing in mind that the records will not be a true competition of all the teams and that individual bowlers of the three new teams will not be able to reach the minimum number of matches played to qualify for the Division 10 Top Bowler award.
