Dalton top first Division 6 table of the season

Review of the Division 6 fixtures played on Thursday 29 October

Another surprise for the Forecast Game contestants as their top Division 6 choice to be relegated was Dalton. Today they sit at the top of the table after beating Springwood C by 8-0

to go two points clear of Kirkheaton Con B who saw off Outlane A 6-2. The other two games both ended in draws suggesting that we are probably looking at a closely contested competition in Division 6 this season.

The Forecast Game favourite for promotion was Huddersfield RUFC but they were held by the unfancied Hanging Heaton B team, who only attracted two votes for promotion (and 6 votes to be relegated). The 53-51 aggregate score was key in sharing out the spoils as it was in the other drawn game between Almondbury BC A and Milnsbridge C. There a 52-49 advantage in the aggregate scores saw the Almondbury outfit draw level 4-4.
