Review of the Division 7 fixtures played at Huddersfield RUFC on Thursday 19 December

Cowcliffe B served up another 8-0 whitewash win (their 6th of the season) this time over Broad Oak A and go 20 points clear at the top of the table. That gap has certainly been aided by their two nearest challengers both losing their Thursday fixtures. But first it is all about the Cowcliffe B team that was collecting a third consecutive 8-0 win at the same time as making it 9 wins on the trot and a 100% winning record for the season. It cannot be long before the statisticians move in to calculate when first, promotion and then the title become a reality.

After winning their first 5 matches this season the Huddersfield RUFC side have now lost their last 4 fixtures but somehow manage to retain the second promotion place. Then come three teams all on the same 40 points gained level with the 'Aggregate For' totals determining the places. Kirkheaton Con B did lose this week to Meltham B but hang on to third place for now. Then come Hanging Heaton B who beat bottom of the table Lockwood Con B by 6-2 and also on that same mark is Marsh Lib who beat Huddersfield RUFC by 6-2.
