Cowcliffe juniors open day

Club News

Cowcliffe are having a Juniors Open Day on Sunday 24th March between 2 - 4pm. They are trying to get new juniors involved in the sport. An extensive advertising programme has been established and local schools approached. As an added attraction all attendees will be given juice and crisps and taken into the club afterwards for fun and pizza. That's the way to do it - get 'em young and play the food card. Good luck to them.

If you are planning events at your club over the coming weeks to attract new bowlers of any age then let us know and we will be happy to advertise it for you on the website.

You may want to consider aligning your event with the national scheme known as Bowls Big Weekend from 24-27 May. More details here and free advertising material for those who want it.

Bowls’ Big Weekend, partnered with Aviva, is back for its fourth year, and what will be the biggest yet! Clubs can sign up to take part in the year’s event until 2nd April – so don’t delay! Make sure you get your club signed up.

With over three million people watching Bowls’ Big Weekend on national television last year, and over 560 clubs on board, bowls will be taking over England from 24th – 27th May for the 2024 event.

Each club will receive a resource pack, as well as access to an array of marketing materials to showcase your event within the community. Clubs also have access to training sessions where they can learn how to advertise their event, make the most of the day and more.
