Following the issuing of the communications from Yorkshire CCGBA about the cancellation of their team competitions it seems that this has been misinterpreted by some clubs and individuals.
The Huddersfield Veterans League General Secretary has spent much of the last 2 days fire-fighting queries from clubs about this week's fixtures. He has asked me to advise all clubs that the Veterans League continues to run as per the published fixture programme and the cancellation of team competitions only refers to the Yorkshire CCGBA competitions.
An article on page 6 of today's Examiner adds to the confusion although careful reading will confirm that the cancellations only refer to county competitions.
