Gary Siswick, one of three Crosland Moor bowlers through to the Quarter-Finals, went on to win the 2026 Colne Valley Merit with a comfortable 21-7 Quarter-Final victory over James McNeil of Waterloo BC taking a major share of the £400 prize money on offer. Siswick, after a quarter-final 21-5 victory, had to overcome a tense semi-final tussle with Kris Lunn of Waterloo BC edging out a 21-17 win. McNeil had shown promise after a 21-9 win against homester Danny Piercy and a 21-13 semi-final win against Aidy Brown of Crosland Moor but couldn’t sustain that effort in the final.
