Review of the 6-Man League matches played on Monday 29 October
The final round of fixtures were played on Monday and Tuesday this week in the top three divisions in the 6-Man League. There is still one outstanding fixture in Division 4 to be played but that cannot change any of the main final placings.

Clayton West are the Division 1 Champions after winning 6 points from their final match at home to Milnsbridge A which saw them home. The fact that the teams in 2nd and 3rd places played each other helped the outcome with Waterloo beating the reigning Champions, Marsh United A, by 6-1 to claim the runners-up place. That means that Clayton West have had successive titles after winning the Division 2 title and promotion last year.
Brockholes A and New Mill A are the two teams to drop out of the top division next season after they finished level on points but two points off safety. The key result being Golcar C&BC beating Brockholes by 6-1 in the Tuesday catch-up fixture which condemned the New Mill team to an immediate return to Division 2 after finishing last season as runners-up to Clayton West to win promotion.

Broad Oak collected the 6 points they needed from their final Division 2 fixture away against mid-table Brockholes B to take the title away from Lindley Lib A. The 6-1 scoreline was just enough to pass Lindley Lib A who were 7 points ahead of third-placed Holmfirth A to secure the second promotion place.
Crosland Moor will join Thongsbridge B in dropping through the relegation trapdoor after their key final fixture against Paddock I&C gave them a 4-3 home win. That was sufficient to secure the Division 2 future of the visiting Paddock team.

Milnsbridge B were assured of promotion before stepping on to their own green on Monday to complete their Division 3 season with a 5-2 home win over Elland C&BC. The Milnsbridge team will go up with long-time leaders Almondbury Lib.
At the other end of the table Hemplow A and Holmfirth B are both relegated after both suffered 1-6 away defeats in their final fixtures leaving them well adrift of safety and finishing 6 points behind Elland C&BC. That outcome means that the Hemplow A team will swap places with the club's B team who are the Division 4 Champions. They completed their season in style by having a whitewash home win over their closest rivals Clayton West B.
That is a good outcome for a team playing their first season in the League making it a really good season for the Clayton West club with impressive final places for both their teams.
There is still one fixture to be played in Division 4 and that will take place on Friday when Thongsbridge C host Greenhead Park B. The Thongsbridge team cannot move off from bottom spot being already 8 points off the pace. We will be publishing the Top Bowlers from each of the four divisions over the weekend as the 6-Man League will draw to a close after Friday's final fixture.
