Champion out of Winter Cup

Stephen Haigh is the reigning Champion of the Winter Cup having won the inaugural competition last year but there will be a new name on the trophy this year after Stephen was knocked out in the Qualifying Round at Springwood yesterday. After negotiating an opening win over teammate Karen Rausse, Stephen went down 10-15 to Jim Baxter from Milnsbridge. Jim went through as one of the four Springwood qualifiers along with Colin Hampshaw (Springwood A), Mick Chapman (Lowerhouses A) and Stuart Greaves (Jackson Bridge).
