Review of the results from fixtures in Divisions 4 & 10 played on Monday 18 November

Great result for Brockholes B when they took four points off the leaders, Primrose Hill Lib, on Monday to move out of the Division 4 relegation places. A one-point (48-47) 'Aggregate For' score clinched the two bonus points for the Badgers and put them level on points at 4-4. Having now drawn matches against the top two teams in the Division and beaten third-placed Elland WMC how come they are struggling to stay out of the relegation places?
Having suffered a surprise defeat last week to Linthwaite Hall, Netherton Con A bounced back with a whitewash 8-0 win over Huddersfield Recreation Club to reclaim the 2nd promotion spot. They move above Elland WMC and Milnsbridge who played each other on Monday with the Elland team winning 6-2 but dropping a place to third as a result. Some good news for the bottom team. Lindley Lib C as they beat Linthwaite Hall A 6-2 to close the gap to safety to one point and only 3-points off a top half of the table position.

It was one of those days when you wished you had brought your gloves to wear with the clear sky and sunshine misleading teams playing in the Division 10 fixture programme at Lindley Lib. It was bitterly cold in the shade but that didn't deter the top teams with Thongsbridge and Rastrick both hitting form to extend their unbeaten starts to the season and get a firmer hold on the two promotion places. Thongsbridge dropped two points to Lindley Lib D but stay top of the table courtesy of a better 'Aggregate For' total than Rastrick who beat bottom team Brockholes D by 8-0.
The meeting of the teams in 3rd and 4th places was won by Skel Windmill who beat Hemplow B 6-2 to swap places with them. That sees the Skel Windmill team join the Division 4 Unbeaten Club list and very much retain an interest in what has been confirmed as a promotion fight. Outlane B suffered a 2-6 defeat by Lindley Lib E but should be heartened by the fact that they have a better 'Aggregate For' record than the two teams immediately above them in the table which is worth another point when the total points column gets closer.
