Broad Oak take Julie Fuller Trophy

A 21-0 result in any match is a rare outcome and when it happens in a team Final it is even more of a decisive moment and so it proved in yesterday's Julie Fuller Trophy Final at Golcar Lib. A ten-ends nilled result for Broad Oak's Andy Crowther and Carl Taylor set the target for their opponents, Thongsbridge A, who just fell short of that and ended up losing 42-50. To win two of the three pairs games and still not win the title must have been disappointing but that is bowling for you.

Congratulations to the Broad Oak team in winning this title in their first season in the 6-Man League and they will be looking towards making that a double by winning promotion to Division 1 by the end of the season.
